2002
INTER RAO Lietuva (at the time called UAB Energijos realizacijos centras) began operations in Lithuania after a new energy law came into force liberalising the electricity market and allowing independent suppliers and other players to operate in an open electricity market.
2003
it was granted a license as an independent supplier in Lithuania and it was also authorised to export electricity. The company exported its first electricity supplies to Russia and Belarus.
2004
the company was authorised to import electricity into Lithuania.
2005
RAO Nordic OY in Finland, a subsidiary company of the Russian energy concern, INTER RAO UES, , acquired 18 per cent of INTER RAO Lietuva shares in order to improve the reliability of electricity supplies and increase competitiveness.
2007
UAB Scaent Baltic acquired 82 per cent of INTER RAO Lietuva shares.
2008
INTER RAO UES, through its subsidiary company, RAO Nordic OY, acquired a further 33 per cent of the company’s shares from Scaent Baltic and increased its shareholding to 51 per cent. INTER RAO Lietuva became a subsidiary company of the main electricity trading partner, INTER RAO UES.

INTER RAO Lietuva became an authorised trading representative of INTER RAO UES in the Baltic countries.

the company changed its name from UAB Energijos realizacijos centras to UAB INTER RAO Lietuva.

At the start of the year INTER RAO Lietuva established subsidiary companies in Latvia and Estonia – INTER RAO Latvia and INTER RAO Eesti – strengthening the company’s status in the region, increasing efficiency and providing a faster response to market changes.

The INTER RAO Lietuva group of companies started trading in the Europe’s leading Scandinavian electricity trading exchange – Nord Pool Spot – in the Estonian price zone.

In the spring of 2011 a subsidiary company of INTER RAO Lietuva – UAB IRL Wind – was established to operate renewable energy projects.

IRL Wind acquired one of the largest wind farms in the Baltic countries – a 30 MW farm in Kretinga district, western Lithuania.

INTER RAO Lietuva became the largest player in the Lithuanian electricity exchange by volume with a turnover exceeding 1 billion Litas. Turnover reached 1.24 billion Litas at the end of the year and, over 12 months, the company supplied 6.2 TWh of electricity.

INTER RAO Lietuva changed its legal status and became a joint stock company.

A subsidiary company in Poland – IRL Polska – was registered.

UAB IRL Wind and Vydmantai wind park, UAB were reorganised by merging UAB IRL Wind into Vydmantai wind park.

The board of AB “INTER RAO Lietuva” has approved the decision to increase (from PLN 2 million to PLN 10 million) the authorized capital of the company-owned subsidiary “IRL Polska Sp. Z o.o.” which operates in Poland.

On 9th of January, AB “INTER RAO Lietuva” subsidiary “IRL Polska Sp. z o.o.” has been granted the license for electricity trading in Poland.

On 30 of April the General Annual Meeting of shareholders has adopted the decision to pay dividends to the shareholders of the Company in the amount of 13 million Litas.

On 22 of May IRL Polska Sp. z o.o. begins electricity trading operations. IRL Polska sp. z o.o. obtained direct access in the so called Day-Ahead and Intraday Market (RDNiB) and Derivatives Market (RTT) on 10 October 2014.

After Lithuania joined the euro zone, AB INTER RAO Lietuva shareholders fixed a nominal value of one share 0.29 EUR, share capital equal to 5.8 million EUR.

AB INTER RAO Lietuva shareholders decided to distribute 11.2 million EUR as dividends.

AB INTER RAO Lietuva shareholders decided to distribute 16.1 million EUR as dividends.

On 30th of March 2017 by decision of Supervisory Council The Board of the Company was re-elected for a new office term of four years.

On 28th of April 2017 new three members of the Supervisory Council, among them one independent member, were elected at the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders.

AB INTER RAO Lietuva shareholders decided to distribute 10.2 million EUR as dividends.

AB INTER RAO Lietuva shareholders decided to distribute 7.1 million EUR as dividends.

On 6th of November 2018 the decision has been taken to liquidate company’s subsidiary UAB „Alproka“ which has successfully completed a real estate project and all real estate owned by UAB „Alproka“ has been sold. Therefore, UAB „Alproka“ was no longer carrying out any commercial activities.

AB INTER RAO Lietuva shareholders decided to distribute 11.6 million EUR as dividends.

AB INTER RAO Lietuva shareholders decided to distribute 14 million EUR as dividends.

UAB “Alproka” was liquidated.
