Change in composition of the Board of UAB INTER RAO Lietuva
UAB INTER RAO Lietuva, having the status of independent electrical power supplier, renewed composition of its Board. During the meeting of shareholders, which took place on 21 October 2011, the new members of the Board were elected: Mr Anton Badenkov, Advisor to the Chairman of the Board of Russian electric power company INTER RAO UES and Ms Karina Tsurkan, the new manager of INTER RAO UES European division. They replaced the former members Mr Dangiras Mikalajūnas and Mr Ilnar Mirsijapov. The Chairman of the Board of Scaent Baltic Mr Jonas Garbaravičius, INTER RAO Lietuva Commerce Director Mr Vidas Čebatariūnas and Mr Dmitrij Palunin, INTER RAO UES Finance Director remained on the Board.
The former member of the Board Dangiras Mikalajūnas, who was also replaced on the Board of Russian INTER RAO UES, became the new manager of INTER RAO UES representative office in Belgium.
“We are confident that the new members joining the Board of the company, having long-term experience of international work in the energy sector will contribute to the development of INTER RAO Lietuva strategy and enable to further strengthen and develop the company’s activity”, says INTER RAO Lietuva member of the Board Jonas Garbaravičius.

The company acquired this status in 2002, when a new Law on Energy came into force in Lithuania and liberalized electrical power market, legalized independent suppliers and other participants of the open market. Lithuanian investment company UAB Scaent Baltic owns 49% of shares of INTER RAO Lietuva. The remaining 51% of shares is owned by subsidiary company of the Russian Inter RAO UES in Finland RAO Nordic OY. Since October 2009 UAB INTER RAO Lietuva is the authorized representative of Inter RAO UES for the Baltic States.
